For as long as women and men have been concerned about aging, there have been promises of
younger-looking skin. Contrary to popular belief, skincare products used on the surface of the skin
cannot penetrate to the deeper layers of skin where the aging process happens. For this, Dr. Kesty
uses Lasers and Energy-Based Devices to reverse the signs of aging and reveal healthier,
younger-looking skin.
As we age, our skin accumulates brown spots, red spots, pre-cancers and DNA damage, and overall
collagen loss. Each laser targets a specific sign of aging. Dr. Kestyis an expert atcombining a custom
set of lasers to address every patient’s individual skin and cosmetic goals. Dr. Kesty personally
performs all the Laser Resurfacing procedures for her patients.
What is Laser Skin Resurfacing?
Laser skin resurfacing is the process of using concentrated and directed beams of laser light to
rejuvenate the skin. In the hands of a highly trained Physician such as Dr. Kesty, you can target
specific features of the face or body with precision, removing the damaged layers and allowing the
skin to heal in a controlled manner. During this healing process, the new skin is tighter and
smoother, giving you a younger appearance. New collagen growth is also stimulated during the healing
process, reversing the aging process, and rejuvenating the treated area.
Is Laser Skin Resurfacing Right for You?
Laser resurfacing is a highly effective treatment for:
-
Fine Lines and Wrinkles
-
Acne Scars
-
Diffuse Redness
-
Pigmented (brown) Spots
-
Rosacea
-
Actinic Keratoses (pre-cancers)
-
Skin Rejuvenation
-
Sun Damage
What can I expect during the procedure?
A topical numbing cream will be applied for 20-60 minutes prior to the procedure. Injections of
numbing medications may also be used. During the procedure, we may
use Pro-Nox, chilling devices, and ice packs to keep you comfortable. You may experience the sensation
of heat during the procedure. There may be swelling, redness, bruises, and/or scabs in the treated
area after the procedure.
What Should I Expect After a Laser Resurfacing Procedure?
For 24-48+ hours after the procedure, your skin may appear red and have some swelling. It is safe to
wear makeup and sunscreen 48 hours after the procedure. Most patients feel comfortable returning to
work and their normal daily activities the next day. Following the post-procedure instructions given
to you by Dr. Kesty will ensure the best results after your laser procedure. Each Laser Resurfacing
procedure is customized by Dr. Kesty, so on the day of your Laser Resurfacing procedure, Dr. Kesty and
her staff will discuss your specific post-care regimen. Diligent sunscreen use and sun avoidance for 4
weeks before and 4 weeks after your laser treatment is essential.
What is the cost of laser skin treatments?
Laser Resurfacing treatment is different for every patient. Your first step is a thorough consultation
with Dr. Kesty. Once the two of you discuss your cosmetic goals and the recommended Laser treatment
plan, our office can provide a quote. We also accept CareCredit to help you get the care you deserve.

Anatomy, and the skin. Dr. Kesty completed Medical School, an Internal Medicine Internship, a
Dermatology Residency, and a Fellowship in Lasers and Cosmetics. She is Board Certified by the
American Academy of Dermatology, and she is a leader in the field of Lasers. Her expertise in Lasers

What is a Laser and Cosmetics Fellowship?
Every year approximately 450 Dermatology residents graduate from approved Dermatology Residencies in
the United States. Of those 450 Dermatology graduates, approximately twelve (12) are selected for the
prestigious American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Laser and Cosmetic Fellowship. Not only was Dr.
Kesty one of those 12 selected, but she did her fellowship with one of the most respected and
well-known Laser Surgeons in the world, Dr. David Goldberg.
