Recovery after Ablative Laser Resurfacing

After an intensive Ablative Laser Resurfacing treatment, your skin will look and feel like it is sunburned. After treatment, one of our providers willapply an ointment and a dressing to your skin which you will leave on for a few days. Our staffwill provide you with specific aftercare instructions, but you should plan to stay home for at least 1-2 weekswhile your skin heals. Ice packs and pain medication will help with any discomfort. Within two weeks, your skin should be healed, but will likely still appear pink. You can apply makeup at this point and return to work or other activities.
